[Jack-Devel] Releasing JACK 1.9.10?

Stéphane Letz
Anything important to fix before a JACK 1.9.10 release?

Thanks.

Internal clients remain broken in jack2, but I don't remember ever
seeing them working ;)

Which ones are broken?

(since 'netmanager', 'netadapter' ones are working well…)

I tested the example "inprocess" client with 1.9.9-stable a while back,
could not get it to work no matter what I tried...
I'll update to jack2 latest git and try again.

Hi Stephane,

If you're releasing on Windows, do please check that the structs will
have 1-byte packing (PRE_PACKED_STRUCTURE and POST_PACKED_STRUCTURE).  I
think it's usually okay these days but when it first got introduced, it
somehow got forgotten in a couple of releases.

Also, is 1.9.10 the next release number?  I seem to have installers for
1.9.10 dating back to Feb 2013.

John

Can you check yourself ? ((-;

Well 1.9.10 naming is in git since a long time, but was never "officially" released…

turning verbose mode on I get this:

Tue Jun 3 13:37:37 2014: Jack: JackLoadableInternalClient::JackLoadableInternalClient path_to_so = /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/jack/inprocess.so

Tue Jun 3 13:37:37 2014: ERROR: symbol jack_finish cannot be found in inprocess

weird that it happens since inprocess.c actually has a "jack_finish" function.

Has support for -T (temporary server, exit after last client) been reinstated? It doesn't work in current release versions.

Hi Stephane,

I have several jack2 android bug patches, but yet integrated to my github.
Before pull request, I'd like to know release schedule you guess.

Thanks,
